Join Trent Tonn, Karcher Middle School educator and DNR Angler Educator, as he shares his knowledge and passion with young fishing enthusiasts.
Monday and Tuesday – Basic introduction to reels, rods, tackle, bait, line replacement, knot tying, and lake fishing techniques. Participants will be tying their own flies and making panfish jigs. Participants are encouraged to bring their rod and reel to class if they have one.
Wednesday and Thursday – Participants will spend their time fishing. Participants are encouraged to bring their own rod and reel, tackle, and bait. Gear can be provided to students that do not have their own. Some bait and tackle will be sup- plied. Participants should pack a chair, water, bug spray, sunscreen, and a snack. Fish cleaning will be taught should the participants be successful.

Monday & Tuesday - Room #156 at Karcher Middle School. (Drop off and pick up at Door #13 off Mary Street)
Wednesday - Echo Veterans Memorial Park, 595 Milwaukee Avenue, Burlington. (Drop off and pick up in Veterans Terrace parking lot)
Thursday - Eagle Lake County Park, 23705 Church Road, Kansasville. (Drop off and pick up by the boat launch at Eagle Lake County Park)
